As you never were

Mountains will rise with no one to climb them
Oceans still roam wide with nobody to marvel at them
Prayers are like seeds that grow in hostile soil
Aborted beauty you came undone before you were due
Right time and right place never really collided for you
And ever since you limp like a wingless soul in a vacuum
Hungry as a city street on a Sunday
All the colors of your moods melting together into one
Grey matter
You wish, but wishes are not like the ocean
You dream, but dreams are not like mountains
You wonder but questions are not prayers
You cannot sit, will not settle
And yet your before swallowed your after before you were
So a ghost you shall remain
